8 Tasty Syrup Recipes You Can Make At Home

8 TASTY & SIMPLE SYRUP RECIPES:

1. COCONUT SIMPLE SYRUP:


Ingredients:

-1 cup coconut sugar

-1 cup water

-½ – 1 cup toasted coconut chips (for extra flavor; this is optional)

Instructions:

1. Add about ½ - 1 cup of raw coconut chips to a skillet and toast them. Set aside.

2. Add the water and the coconut sugar to a saucepan and heat it up.

3. When it starts to simmer, and the sugar is dissolved, add in the toasted coconut chips (this is optional).

4. Simmer a few more minutes to really release the flavors from the coconut chips.

5. Let it cool a few minutes and transfer to a glass container/ bottle.

6. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks (or even more!)

2. LAVENDER SIMPLE SYRUP:


Ingredients:

-1 cup brown cane sugar (or coconut sugar)

-1 cup water

-2 tablespoons (or more) of dried lavender buds

Instructions:

1. Add the water and sugar to a saucepan and heat it up.

2. When it starts to simmer, and the sugar is dissolved, add in the lavender buds (you can add more if you want your syrup to be more concentrated and have a stronger flavor)

3. Simmer a few more minutes to really release the flavors from the lavender.

4. Let it cool a few minutes and transfer to a glass container/ bottle.

5. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.


3. MINT SIMPLE SYRUP:


Ingredients:

-1 cup brown cane sugar (or coconut sugar)

-1 cup water

-handful of fresh mint

-few drops of pure mint extract (optional)

Instructions:

1. Add the water and sugar to a saucepan and heat it up.

2. Simmer a few minutes until the sugar dissolves.

3. Take it off the heat and add in a few drops of the pure mint extract and the fresh mint and cover the pan.

4. Let it steep for about 30 minutes , take out the mint and transfer to a glass container/ bottle.

5. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.

4. VANILLA SIMPLE SYRUP:


Ingredients:

-1 cup brown cane sugar (or coconut sugar)

-1 cup water

-1 tablespoons of vanilla extract (liquid or powder form)

Instructions:

1. Add the water and sugar to a saucepan and heat it up.

2. Simmer a few minutes until the sugar dissolves.

3. Take it off the heat and add in the vanilla extract.

4. Let it steep for about 15 minutes and transfer to a glass container/ bottle (you can strain it if you want – if using vanilla bean powder)

5. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.

5. COFFEE SIMPLE SYRUP:


Ingredients:

-1 cup brown cane sugar (or coconut sugar)

-1 cup brewed coffee

-few drops of pure coffee extract (optional)

Instructions:

1. Add the coffee and sugar to a saucepan and heat it up.

2. Simmer a few minutes until the sugar dissolves.

3. Take it off the heat and add in the pure coffee extract if using (for extra coffee flavor).

4. Let it cool a bit and transfer to a glass container/ bottle.

5. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.

6. ORANGE SIMPLE SYRUP:


Ingredients:

-1 cup brown cane sugar (or coconut sugar)

-1 cup fresh orange juice

-zest of an orange

-few drops of pure orange extract (optional)

Instructions:

1. Add the orange juice , orange zest and sugar to a saucepan and heat it up.

2. Simmer a few minutes until the sugar dissolves.

3. Take it off the heat and add in the pure orange extract if using, this will add our syrup a stronger orange flavor.

4. Let it cool for a few minutes , strain it and transfer to a glass container/ bottle.

5. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.

7. LEMON SIMPLE SYRUP:


Ingredients:

-1 cup brown cane sugar (or coconut sugar)

-1 cup fresh lemon juice

-zest of a lemon

-few drops of pure lemon extract (optional)

Instructions:

1. Add the lemon juice , lemon zest and sugar to a saucepan and heat it up.

2. Simmer a few minutes until the sugar dissolves.

3. Take it off the heat and add in the pure lemon extract if using, this will add our syrup a stronger orange flavor.

4. Let it cool for a few minutes , strain it (no need) and transfer to a glass container/ bottle.

5. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.

8. DATE SIMPLE SYRUP:


Ingredients:

-1 cup brown cane sugar (or coconut sugar)

-1 cup water (use the water you soaked the dates in)

-about 10 dates (soaked)

Instructions:

1. Soak your dates in hot water for about 20-30 mins, then using a mini food processor or a blender make a puree.

2. Add the water , date pulp and sugar to a saucepan and heat it up.

3. Simmer a few minutes until the sugar dissolves.

4. Let it cool for a few minutes , strain it and transfer to a glass container/ bottle.

5. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.
